Capital資本平台報道: 雙職媽媽 如何平衡事業、家庭及Me Time?

Capital platform report: How do working mothers balance career, family, and Me Time?

I'm also a working mom with three kids, and I'm incredibly busy every day. So I often have to steal moments of leisure and cleverly arrange my work to blend work and play. In terms of family, I rely on my partner and family members to carefully cultivate good habits in my children, all so I can make time to recharge myself. Taking care of myself is essential for having a good mood and good health to take care of my family.

Here are some suggestions that I believe can help working mothers achieve this balance:

1 ) Delegating tasks and making good use of time: I delegate some tasks to my team members or colleagues to reduce my workload. I also seek external professional support to share the burden of work. Sometimes I arrange to hold meetings in a coffee shop or use video conferences instead of in-person meetings to reduce the time spent on commuting and optimize the efficiency of using time every day.

2 ) Seek support from your partner and family: When you feel overwhelmed, physically exhausted, and experiencing poor sleep, remember to seek support from your partner, family members, or friends. For example, take turns caring for the children or share the task of helping them with their studies. I understand that mothers always want to do everything themselves and always want to be by their children's side, but remember that rest is essential for a longer journey. Finding short breaks to relax and rejuvenate can help you restore your energy. Making time for a short get-together or heart-to-heart talk with friends can also provide emotional support.

3 ) Establish routines and habits for your child: Encourage your child to complete their homework and pack their schoolbag independently, reducing your workload and allowing for more parent-child time when you get home. Establishing daily routines and habits can also prevent arguments caused by children being too engrossed in watching TV or playing computer games. Encourage children to read extracurricular books, which not only expands their knowledge but also cultivates patience. Cultivating a habit of exercise in children can strengthen their physique and build teamwork skills; children who are tired from exercise will go to bed earlier, giving adults more personal time to rest and allowing for more communication and relationship strengthening with their partners.

We all know that a balanced life leads to better health. We often feel overwhelmed by heavy workloads, and stress is inevitable. But the most important thing is to learn to love ourselves, find a balance that suits us and our families, and continuously adjust and optimize it. I believe that with practice and experience, everyone will be able to find a balance that allows work, family, and personal space to be fully realized. I wish all working mothers success in balancing their careers, families, and personal lives, and that they enjoy a fulfilling and happy life as working mothers!
